owns and operates Lake Parlin Lodge and Cabins, near Jackman. He was raised in the Jackman area until the age of 10, when the family moved to Florida. He was an active partner in the development and operation of the family business, Pelican Beach Resort in Ft. Lauderdale, from 1989-2006. After its sale, Joe and his wife, Liz, made the decision to move back to Maine to raise their family and start a new business. It has become a popular four-season destination catering to all aspects of traditional and modern Maine recreation. Joe is president of the Coburn Summit Riders Snowmobile Club; officer of The Forks Chamber of Commerce and of the Old Canada Road National Scenic Byway Committee; and a licensed Florida general contractor.
